Kristie + Richard Pre-Wedding Session

Kristie and Richard are a sweet couple. Their wedding will be on this coming Sunday. We took a pre-wedding session for them several weeks ago and didn't have time to post them on blog until now. The photo shoot went very smoothly. We tried something new this time (see the first picture above). Special thanks to Kristie and Richard for their patience and having to stand under the cold weather waiting for us to test out various setting. Luckily the picture turned out to be nice and romantic.

Vancouver's weather is very unpredictable. This year is even worse. A lot of our portrait sessions had been rescheduled. Therefore, we shot engagement, pre-wedding, maternity, wedding sessions almost every 2 to 3 days recently. In a wet wedding, we took a shot in heavy rain. One of our cameras was out of order for 2 hours. The same camera had the same problem with heavy snow at Burnaby Mountain, last year.

The good news (to me) about camera and tech stuff was I received Canon's new 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens. It was a very impressive lens at $200. Very sharp and quality is somewhere between 50mm f/1.4 and 85mm f/1.8.
